Turkey is called Turkey because of a historical misunderstanding. When the Turks first arrived in Anatolia, Europeans mistakenly believed they were from the same region as the bird they knew as "turkey." As a result, they started referring to the Turks as "Turkeys" or "Turkey-cocks." Over time, this evolved into calling the country Turkey. **

The name "Turkey" for the bird comes from the mistaken belief that the bird was imported to Europe from Turkey. In reality, turkeys are native to North America and were introduced to Europe by Spanish traders who thought they had come from Turkey. Over time, the name stuck and became the common term for the bird in English. **

I believe there may be a typo in your question. It seems like you are asking if I say "turkey" or "turkey." If that's the case, I would say "turkey." If you meant something else, please clarify and I'd be happy to help! **
